Ukraine harvested over twenty one mln tonnes of grains — Ministry of Agrarian Policy

As of July 19, all categories of Ukrainian agricultural households already harvested grains and pulses throughout the areas of 6.1 mln ha, or 63% of the forecast, and produced 21.6 mln tonnes of grains, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

In particular, Ukraine harvested wheat throughout the areas of 4.1 mln ha (63% of the forecast), and produced 15.4 mln tonnes of the grain, with the average yield of 3.71 t/ha. At the same time, barley areas totaled 1.7 mln ha (69%), with the harvest at 5.6 mln tonnes, and the yield — 3.23 t/ha.

Also, Ukrainian agrarians started harvesting rye. As of the reporting date, the harvested areas reached 12 thsd ha (10%). The production volumes totaled 32 thsd tonnes, with the yield of 2.65 t/ha. In addition, agrarians harvested 12 thsd tonnes of oats throughout 5 thsd ha (3%), with the yield of 2.33 t/ha.

Ukraine harvested peas throughout over four fifth of the planned areas: 237 thsd ha (84%), the production volumes totaled 537 thsd tonnes, and the yield — 2.26 t/ha.

The production volumes of rapeseed totaled 2.4 mln tonnes. The oilseed harvested areas totaled 1 mln ha (79%), and its average yield — 2.37 t/ha.
